India Victorious

India, after a brilliant show by the bowlers, won an easy victory against the Windies in yesterday's match to put itself in a good position before the world cup, officially opening tomorrow, the 11th.

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat. They were bowled out for a measly total of 85, and India proceded to finish the game losing only 1 wicket.

Zaheer and Agarkar got the openers cheaply to pave the way for Irfan and Munaf to wreak havoc. They picked up 7 wickets between them and left the opponents in complete disarray.

India lost Sehwag early but Robin Uthappa and Dinesh Kaarthick finished the game with an 80 run partnership.

This bodes well for India and gives them just the right boost before the World Cup begins.

Match results in cricket seem to be random. One day India beats WI and the next that go down tamely to Bangladesh.

One can enjoy the game, but what is the point in being carried away by almost random results?
